We all grew up on the stories of the followers who gave their lives and money to fulfill the mitzvot of the Etrog. We all remember the practicality of the Admorim who agreed to give up their next world for the sake of a fancy banquet, or of rabbis and followers who converted all their money and savings into a first blessing for the four species.
The common denominator of all these stories is the love of the mitzvah, and the Etrog, which is called in the Torah "the fruit of the citrus tree" on which they will surrender their souls and their wealth, won.
